Method of quasiclassical green function in different problems of mesoscopic physics
- This thesis can be divided into two parts. In the both parts the method of quasiclassical Green function is used. The first part is concerned the non-linear \(\sigma\)-model a well-known and effective field-theoretical method in disorder theory. The main achievement of the thesis is a consistent derivation of a new, \(\it {ballistic}\), \(\sigma\)-model applicable in the ballistic regime. Two problems are considered using the model: level correlations in billiards and a \(\it 2d\) electron gas in a random magnetic field (RMF). Relation between the ballistic model and other methods extensively used in study of billiards and unusual properties of RMF model are discussed. In the second part two superconductor/normal-metal structures studied recently in a number of experiments are considered. Several non-equilibrium effects related to the violation of the balance between electrons and holes are quantitatively estimated. These effects should be observable can be observed in the experiment.
